Coconut Surprise

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 40 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • 16 ounces cool whip
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant coconut pudding mix
  • 5 cups milk

Recipe

  • 1 cream flour and butter together.
  • 2 mash in bottom of 9 x 13 inch pan 1/4 inch thick.
  • 3 sprinkle chopped nuts over mixture.
  • 4 bake 20 minutes at 350 f.
  • 5 cool.
  • 6 beat cream cheese, 8 ounces cool whip, and powdered sugar together.
  • 7 spread over pastry.
  • 8 sprinkle coconut over this mixture.
  • 9 mix pudding and milk.
  • 10 spread on top of coconut.
  • 11 spread remaining cool whip on top.
  • 12 sprinkle with more coconut.
  • 13 keep in refrigerator at least 2 days before serving. (this step is not necessary, but it does taste better.).
