Dad's Saucy Meat Loaf

Ingredients
- Servings: 8
- 1 1/2 lbs ground chuck
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup milk
- 8 tablespoons bennets chili sauce (you can use kraft but it's not as good)
- 1/4 cup chopped onion 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon lea & perrin worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350 deg.
- 2 combine grnd chuck, oats, milk, 2 tbs chili sauce(save back 6 tbs for sauce) onion, egg, lea & perrins, and chili powder.
- 3 form into loaf shape and bake 1hr.
- 4 combine remaining chili sauce w/brown sugar. spread over meatloaf.
- 5 bake additional 15 minute or until thermometer reads 165 deg.
- 6 let stand 10 min and slice.
- 7 if desired, serve with yukon gold homemade ( no instant) mashed potatoes and corn.
