Cinnamon Nut Buns

Total Time: 2 hrs 54 mins Preparation Time: 2 hrs 30 mins Cook Time: 24 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons nonfat dry milk powder
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons milk

Recipe

  • 1 mix and knead all dough ingredients together to make a smooth dough.
  • 2 cover and let raise for 1 hour until puffy.
  • 3 roll the dough into an 18" x 18" rectangle.
  • 4 mix filling ingredients together. lightly brush dough with milk and then spread with the prepared filling, leaving an uncovered strip about 1" wide along one end.
  • 5 roll tightly into a log, starting with filling-covered end and opposite the unfilled end.slice the log onto 12 pieces. place slices onto a lightly greased wells of a muffin pan.cover and let the buns rise until puffy, about 60 minutes.
  • 6 bake the buns in a preheated 350`f oven for 20 to 24 minutes, until they're a light golden brown remove from the oven.
  • 7 just before serving mix topping ingredients together until smooth. spoon over the buns.
