Experimental Low-cal Brownies

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons flax seeds
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon instant coffee
  • 1/4 cup applesauce
  • 2/3 cup sweet potato puree
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Recipe

  • 1 melt butter, mix in cocoa powder.
  • 2 mix together flour, flax seed, baking powder, sweet potato, and molasses.
  • 3 mix together vanilla and instant coffee, add to cocoa mixture.
  • 4 add cocoa mixture to flour mixture.
  • 5 spoon into 8 x 8 greased baking dish, flatten surface.
  • 6 bake at 350 degrees for 20 minute.
