Cheesy Mashed Potatoes Piping Hot From The Oven

Total Time: 35 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (7 1/4 ounce) box roasted instant mashed potatoes (betty crocker brand)
  • 1 1/2 cups cheddar french-fried onions
  • 3/4 cup salsa (any variety)
  • 3 tablespoons sliced ripe olives or 3 tablespoons green chilies, chopped (optional)
  • 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Recipe

  • 1 pre-heat oven to 425f.
  • 2 follow the instructions on the box and prepare the potatoes for 2 pouches or 8 servings.
  • 3 mix in 3/4 cup of the onions.
  • 4 once you have this mixture ready, grease a 2 qt.
  • 5 baking dish.
  • 6 then, spread this mixture in it.
  • 7 top with salsa, onions, olives and chives.
  • 8 bake for 3 to 5 minutes or until the onions turn golden in colour.
  • 9 remove from the oven and serve hot with sour cream and chopped fresh cilantro!
  • 10 enjoy!
