Creamy Mashed Potato Bake

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 cups hot mashed potatoes (, fresh, leftover, or instant)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (i usually add more)
  • 1 1/3 cups french-fried onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (i like to use sharp)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350°.
  • 2 combine potatoes, sour cream, milk and garlic powder in a large bowl; mix well.
  • 3 spoon half the mixture into a 2 quart lightly greased baking dish.
  • 4 sprinkle with 2/3 cup of french fried onions and 1/2 cup of cheese.
  • 5 top with remaining potato mixture.
  • 6 bake for 30 minutes until hot all the way through.
  • 7 top with remaining onions and cheese.
  • 8 bake for 5 minutes or until onions are golden.
