Creamy Mashed Potato Bake

Ingredients
- Servings: 6
- 3 cups hot mashed potatoes (, fresh, leftover, or instant)
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (i usually add more)
- 1 1/3 cups french-fried onions
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (i like to use sharp)
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350°.
- 2 combine potatoes, sour cream, milk and garlic powder in a large bowl; mix well.
- 3 spoon half the mixture into a 2 quart lightly greased baking dish.
- 4 sprinkle with 2/3 cup of french fried onions and 1/2 cup of cheese.
- 5 top with remaining potato mixture.
- 6 bake for 30 minutes until hot all the way through.
- 7 top with remaining onions and cheese.
- 8 bake for 5 minutes or until onions are golden.
