Deep Dark Espresso Brownies

Ingredients

- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup instant espresso coffee powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 3/4 cup semisweet chocolate morsel
- powdered sugar, for dusting
Recipe
- 1 preheat oven to 350f.
- 2 lightly butter and flour an 9-inch square baking pan; set aside.
- 3 beat brown sugar, butter and sugar in a mixing bowl.
- 4 add eggs, vanilla and salt.
- 5 beat until well blended.
- 6 stir in espresso powder, flour and baking powder, mixing until smooth.
- 7 fold in chocolate chips.
- 8 pour batter into prepared pan.
- 9 bake for 30 mins.
- 10 or until skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean.
- 11 cool completely in pan; cut and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
