Chicken With Rice

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 3 -3 1/2 lbs frying chicken, cut into serving pieces
  • 1/4 cup butter or 1/4 cup margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups instant rice
  • 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube

Recipe

  • 1 preheat skillet, uncovered, at 325 degrees. add butter or margarine and allow to melt. place chicken pieces into skillet and brown both sides. season with salt and pepper. remove chicken from skillet.
  • 2 reduce heat to "simmer" and add rice. combine soup, water and bouillon. pour 1/2 of mixture over rice. replace chicken pieces into skillet over rice. pour remaining soup mixture over chicken. cover and simmer 35-40 minutes or until chicken is done. reduce heat to "warm" for serving. makes 4-6 servings.
