Fruit Salad With Pretzel Topping

Ingredients

  • 3 cups pretzels, broken into small pieces
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding
  • 2 cups buttermilk
  • 2 cups whipped topping, thawed
  • 8 ounces pineapple, crushed, drained well
  • 2 (11 ounce) cans mandarin oranges, crushed, drained well

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450 and line a jelly roll pan with foil.
  • 2 for topping:.
  • 3 place broken pretzels on pan.
  • 4 mix melted butter and brown sugar together.
  • 5 dump over pretzels.
  • 6 stir until well coated.
  • 7 bake 5 minutes.
  • 8 cool and break apart.
  • 9 for salad:.
  • 10 mix pudding and buttermilk together in large bowl.
  • 11 fold in whipped topping, pineapple and mandarin oranges.
  • 12 cover top of salad with pretzel topping just before serving.
