Brown Rice Almondine

Ingredients
- Servings: 4
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 teaspoons margarine
- 1 1/4 cups chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 1/2 cups minute instant brown rice
- 1 cup frozen cut green beans, thawed
- 2 tablespoons toasted sliced almonds
- 1/2 teaspoon dill weed
Recipe
- 1 cook and stir onion in hot margarine until tender.
- 2 add broth, lemon juice and garlic powder.
- 3 bring to boil.
- 4 stir in rice.
- 5 return to boil.
- 6 reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
- 7 remove from heat.
- 8 stir in green beans, almonds and dill; cover.
- 9 let stand 5 minutes.
