Easy Shepherds Pie

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (20 ounce) box instant mashed potatoes (8 serving size)
  • 2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 (8 ounce) can beef gravy
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • salt
  • pepper
  • paprika

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 325'f.
  • 2 use vegetable spray on casserole dish.
  • 3 prepare instant mashed potatoes following box directions.
  • 4 boil frozen vegetables in saucepan.
  • 5 brown ground beef.
  • 6 add 1/2 can of beef gravy.
  • 7 add garlic powder.
  • 8 stir until well blended.
  • 9 drain vegetables.
  • 10 add the beef mixture to casserole dish.
  • 11 add the vegetables and spread evenly.
  • 12 add large spoonfuls of the mashed potatoes
  • 13 over the vegetables.
  • 14 wait a few minutes for potatoes to cool before spreading.
  • 15 make a design with bottom of fork on the potatoes.
  • 16 sprinkle some paprika.
  • 17 bake for 30 minutes.
  • 18 cool for 15 minutes before slicing.
  • 19 add remaining warmed gravy to each serving.
